Not all backstage segments end in chaos. Some end in confusion, frustration, and the unmistakable sound of a video game loading screen.

Manager DJ Quick was backstage this week in a situation that can only be described as professionally uncomfortable — blindfolded in the female locker room, carefully placed there to avoid any “HR meetings” later on.

Doing what managers do best, DJ Quick launched into a passionate speech. He promised his client great matches, prime opportunities, and a future filled with success. There was just one small request: let’s maybe ease off the hardcore matches.

Not because they aren’t exciting. Not because the fans don’t love them. But because voluntarily throwing yourself through furniture every week isn’t exactly a retirement plan.

DJ Quick talked about strategy. About longevity. About wrestling smarter.

Meanwhile…

His client was busy playing a video game.

Controller clicking. Eyes locked on the screen. The occasional button mash echoed through the locker room as DJ Quick continued his heartfelt advice, completely unaware that he was essentially cutting a promo to a loading screen.

He paused. Cleared his throat. Continued talking.

Still nothing.

At one point, DJ Quick even nodded confidently, as if receiving agreement — only to realize the only response he’d gotten was the sound of digital gunfire and an achievement unlock.

Then, without interrupting the game… she simply stood up and walked out.

DJ Quick finished his speech anyway.

Because that’s what professionals do.

Left blindfolded and alone, DJ Quick adjusted his jacket, nodded to himself, and confidently said, “Glad we’re on the same page.”

The silence said otherwise.

What does this mean for their partnership? Probably nothing. Will she still book hardcore matches? Absolutely.

But one thing is clear: DJ Quick may be the manager… yet right now, he’s competing with a video game for attention — and losing badly.

Stay tuned. 🎮🤼‍♀️
